Sweet Potato Cake might sound synonymous with someone on a high-calorie-intake spree. But then times are a changing.
In todays world where people have become rather finicky about their health and fitness, a new concept has taken the diet world by storm. And that is pseudo calorie diet. Sweet Potato cake might not be a cake after all. It is more a cutlet, made partly with fresh ground whole wheat flour and contains no more than 25% of potato. It is neither sweetened by sugar or jaggery, but with low-calorie containing artficial sweetener Aspartame.

While a conventionally made Sweet Potato Cake might contain nothing less than 300 calories per serving, the pseudo-calorie version boasts of less than 75.
This has resulted in diabetics and obese patients accepting their diet regimen more happily than ever before. Vegan food is generally a low calorie diet as it removes all types of animal products which are heavy on fats and carbohydrates.
