There is need to form a committee that sits together and decides laws against smoking. This truly was a PR exercise as nothing serious was implemented. You have to have laws placed with a permanent status in the constitution that Defines law as civil...

I guess you don’t really need something like this in the US. People there do not secure a license unless they are aware of the traffic rules but in India, getting a license is as simple as it gets. People do not give a damn about the traffic rules...

It is a tall order to tell people to stop smoking when cigarettes are still openly, freely, and widely sold. It’s the good old supply and demand pattern.
